Lorenz Behringer started playing marimba and percussion when he was 5 years old.
Lorenz studied under Prof. Franz Lang at the Music-University in Trossingen, Germany, which is since decades an elite school for orchestral percussion and contemporary music.
He is scholar of the "Jürgen-Ponto Stiftung" and "Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben". Lorenz Behringer was scholar of the Karajan-Academy of the Berlin Philharmonics and worked with several conductors such as Mariss Jansons, Sir Simon Rattle, Gustavo Dudamel, Bernard Haitink and many more.
During that time, he started to focuse especially on the timpani, with his teachers Rainer Seegers & Wieland Weltzel, Solo-Timpanists of the Berlin Philharmonics.
Since 2016 Lorenz is percussionist and permanent member of the orchestra of the "Nationaltheatre Mannheim".
